Add your locations

How do I add them?

Upload a spreadsheet. The smoothest way is to start from our template: download it, fill it in with your locations, and upload it. That way the columns already match what we expect.

You do not have to use it. If you already keep your locations in a spreadsheet of your own, upload that instead. We read your column headers, suggest what each one is, and show you what we found before anything is saved. Anything we are unsure about, we flag for you rather than guessing quietly.

The Upload Wizard, at the column matching step

Show the wizard after a file is read, with our suggested column matches visible and at least one column we were unsure about. This is the screen that proves the promise above: you see the matches before anything is saved. Capture at 2x in light mode, browser chrome cropped out.

What else can I add, and is it worth it?

Yes. The more you give us, the sharper the numbers.

All of it is optional. Start with what you already have, and add the rest later for the locations you decide to look into.

What you addWhat it improves
Name, address, location IDRequired. Nothing works without these.
Annual electricity useSharpens every financial number.
What you pay for electricity in a yearSharpens every financial number.
Floor areaImproves how we estimate energy use when you have not given us a meter reading.
Year builtSame.
Operating hoursSame.
Building typeSame.

For the sharpest possible picture at a single location, see interval data.

Can I organise my locations the way my company does?

Not yet.

Any column you add to the spreadsheet outside our template is ignored on import today.

Organising locations by your own fields is on the roadmap.

Some of my addresses are wrong or incomplete. What happens?

We flag it before anything is imported.

Any row we cannot place on the map is flagged, with a suggested fix you can accept in one click. You can also type the correction yourself.

Rows missing something we need have to be sorted out before you import. The rest are shown for your information only.

Nothing is placed on a guess. You see what we could not resolve, and you decide.

A flagged row with a suggested address fix

Show one row we could not place, with the suggested correction and the accept control. Show a second row flagged for information only, so the difference between blocking and non-blocking is visible in one image.

Once your locations are in, every one of them gets scored. Read Your risk scores.
