Words we use
Band
One of five levels every score falls into: Low, Low-Moderate, Moderate, Elevated, High. See the bands.
Board pack
A short document gathering your most exposed locations, ready to take to your leadership. See Share with leadership.
Business case
The financial picture for one intervention at one location. See Build a business case.
Carbon avoided
The carbon that is not emitted because the location generates or stores its own power instead of drawing it from the grid.
Carbon intensity
How much carbon comes with each unit of electricity in the local grid.
Current score
The score for today, as opposed to the 2035 score. The two are separate readings from separate data.
Intervention
Something you could do at a location. Today that is solar, or solar with battery storage.
Interval data
Meter readings every 15 minutes or every hour, instead of one total for the year. See what it adds.
Location ID
Your own identifier for a location. Required on import, and the thing you use to match our results back to your own systems.
NPV
Net present value. What a project is worth in today's dollars. Above zero means it earns more than it costs.
Payback
How long it takes for the savings to cover what the project cost to build.
Pillar
One of the three things scored: Supply, Price, or Carbon Intensity.
Pipeline
Your three stages: Opportunity, Screening, Project. See Track your projects.
Portfolio model
One table with every project at every stage, with its cost, payback, savings and carbon side by side.
Reference set
Every location we score nationally. Your score says where you sit against it. See ranking, not measurement.
Score
A number from 0 to 100 for one pillar at one location. Higher means more exposed.
